Use a MIDI controller and start finger drumming awesome drum beats. When using a MIDI controller to make drum beats you can make short hats and long hats with the same button. Short hats are made by holding down the button and long hats are made by tapping the button. Using a variety of long hats and short hats when finger drumming a drum beat will add texture to your beat.
